A Million Little Pieces of RuinHe sat there, not sure how to react. It's not like it was the first time Gerard got in touch with him since the breakup, but seeing his name on the screen still made Frank's insides twist. What could he want? Frank knew he shouldn't expect anything big, but you can't really control your mind. Plus, he still wasn't sure how he felt. Was he still angry? Disappointed? Just plain upset? Whatever it was, Gerard made him feel something. And it wasn't good.A Million Little Pieces of Ruin by NancyKilljoy
He took a deep breath and opened the e-mail. He frowned when he realized there was nothing besides a file- a music file. Gerard was sending him a song?
He put on his headphones and opened it, paying close attention. He instantly recognized the voice; it was a Placebo song. Probably from their last record, that came out a few days before. He knew Gerard was a fan. He also knew this was going to have a meaning.

Smoke was everywhere. Gerard ran to the lobby to see The Man setting the entire hotel on fire. He saw his brother, Mikey, dead; charred beyond physically possible, lying right in front of the receptionist's desk. The lady at the desk was just standing there. She was doing her usual work while this man was destroying the lobby. This didn't make any sense. What is happening? Gerard felt his face burning...
While beads of sweat drizzled down his forehead, Gerard lay in bed trying to shake off the sudden fear of losing his brother. He looked across the room at the second Way still in the same position as he had been last night.
"Mikey. Hey, Mikey," Gerard whispered, as to not startle the younger of the brothers.
Mikey let out an undescernable groan while he aimlessly waved an arm out at Gerard. Gerard understood his brother's gibberish and silently nodded.
"Okay," he answered.

When Ghoul was laid back on the couch after the funeral, our headquarters was now a very somber place. It felt almost as if we ourselves were in graves, for the deep silence and Ghoul's obvious penetrating misery. But that wasn't permanent. Unfortunately, Ghoul had lost many other very potential, and real, love partners before.
"We gotta tell the Doc," he decided wisely though forlornly, "to inform… her friends."
And so we did. We managed to connect pretty quick, thankfully. Poison reported the whole story, and Doctor Death Defying gave his deep condolences, as if that helped. But it was a sweet gesture. Then the conversation passed onto Ghoul's illness, and we began to discuss the possibilities. The Doc said he'd need to take a look at Fun Ghoul himself.
But Dr D. had a busy schedule. So did we. And so, the radio call did no good, unfortunately. We all moved on from the funeral, and life just dragged on unchangingly.
